Music

Jewellz has taken an interest in Music from an early age. In the fourth grade, Jewellz's music class required everyone to practice the recorder. People in her class would compete in order to get different color ''belts.'' These belts would be placed around the recorder and earned after each advancement of songs that would be played. Similar, to the way that people who participate in Karate recieve colored belts. Jewellz enjoyed playing the recorder during this time however, she wanted to try a real instrument. Jewellz then found out about her school band, that held rehearsals afterschool. Jewellz signed up and that is when she began playing the Alto saxophone. She continued to play in the band and is currently still in the band.

She has even advanced to join different bands such as Jazz Ensemble, and the Charles County Youth Band. She participates in both of these band reguarly and rehearses with them. Jewellz is also involved in a Fine Arts Diploma Endorsement Program that serves as an opportunity to deepen her interest in the Fine Arts Community. Ranging from seeing different Fine Arts performances like dancers, plays, singers, and even instrumentalist. She has been in this program for three years now and is expected to recieve a chord at graduation in honor. She is now presently the first chair saxophone player in her school, Bishop McNamara High School, Symphonic Band.
